Book Launch at the 49th Kolkata International Book Fair 2026

The 49th International Calcutta Book Fair was auspiciously inaugurated by the Honorable Chief Minister of West Bengal, Mrs. Mamata Banerjee on January 22, 2026.

Marking this grand celebration of literature, the 'Collection of Essays' (Prabandha Sanklan) written by West Bengal Minister Shri Sobhandev Chattopadhyay was officially published and unveiled by Basudhanand Books and Publication.

The book launch ceremony was held at the Sister Nivedita University pavilion in the distinguished presence of: • Shri Sobhandev Chattopadhyay, Honorable Minister and Author • Shri Trideep Kumar Chattopadhyay, Honorary General Secretary of Publishers & Booksellers Guild • Shri Prachet Gupta, Eminent Literary Author & Novelist • Shri Subodh Sarkar, Renowned Poet and Academy Awardee • And other distinguished cultural dignitaries, journalists, and avid bibliophiles.
